Frequently Asked Questions
-
It is best if you wear clothes that can be easily pulled up to assess the limb (shorts/t-shirt are great!). For lower limb assessments make sure to bring a pair of shoes that you will be wearing with your device (preferably running shoes or sneakers)!
-
Since each device is custom made, our turnaround time is typically 1-2 weeks. Your clinician will confirm this when they re-book you for a fitting.
-
If you hear, see, or feel the device breaking, or if you are noticing new pain or new sores, come in to see your clinician ASAP!
-
Your clinician will go over how to clean your orthosis when you get it. Most plastic devices and foot orthotics can be wiped with mild soap and warm water, just make sure to completely rinse the soap and fully dry the device before wearing again.
